Georgetown issued this press release welcoming Ethan Yale to its tax faculty:
Professor Ethan Yale boosts Georgetown’s strong tax law program. Yale, most recently acting assistant professor of law at New York University, will be teaching the Law Center’s Taxation II and Tax Shelters Seminar: Law and Policy courses this year. At NYU, Yale taught courses in tax policy, corporate tax, advanced corporate tax, advanced income tax, and tax procedure. Prior to joining NYU, he was an associate in the tax section of the New York firm of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and clerked for Judge Jacques Wiener Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Yale, who finished first in his Tulane Law School graduating class of 305 students, is currently focusing his research efforts on abusive tax shelters as well as capitalization and depreciation issues.
