After a conference call with Deans Brian Bromberger (Loyola-New Orleans) and Larry Ponoroff (Tulane), the ABA and AALS report that the Deans are encouraging as many law schools as are able to accommodate some Loyola-New Orleans and Tulane students on a transient basis for the fall semester. The two schools will be evaluating their situations as the fall progresses to determine whether and to what extent they will be able to hold classes beginning in January.
In order to facilitate the placement of students, the AALS is hosting on its website (here) a list of law schools that are able to admit some Loyola-New Orleans and Tulane students and the basis on which individual law schools will do so. Law schools that are able to admit some students as transient or visiting students should as soon as possible submit a short statement of the basis on which they can accommodate students from the New Orleans schools to AALS Deputy Director Elizabeth Patterson here.
