A hearty welcome to Linda Beale (Illinois), who has joined the Tax Prof Blogosphere with A Taxing Matter. From her inaugural post:
This is the inaugural posting for a new blog about U.S. federal income and payroll taxes. My focus is on ordinary Americans, people who work for a salary or run their own small business and don’t have millions to invest on Wall Street. The blog will discuss how our tax system works, who pays and who doesn’t pay taxes, and some of the ways that people who benefit from particular tax cuts or tax subsidies distort the information about those cuts or subsidies to get the support of ordinary Americans.
By my count, Linda is the seventh tax professor with a blog:
- Jack Bogdanski (Lewis & Clark): Jack Bog’s Blog
- Neil Buchanan (Rutgers-Newark): Left2Right
- Paul Caron (Cincinnati): TaxProf Blog
- Vic Fleischer (UCLA): Conglomerate
- Jim Maule (Villanova): Mauled Again
- Dan Shaviro (NYU): Start Making Sense
We will add Linda’s blog to the listing of Tax Prof Blogs in our left column resources. (Thanks to Francine Lipman (Chapman) for the tip.)
