President Bush yesterday issued an executive order extending the deadline for the President’s Advisory Panel on Federal Tax Reform to issue its report from September 30 to November 1 (the original due date was July 30). The panel has scheduled public meetings on October 11 & 18 at which panel members will discuss issues associated with tax reform (no testimony will be presented) (These meetings were previously scheduled for September 8 & 15 but were postponed due to Hurricane Katrina.)
