The IRS announced yesterday (IR-2006-5) that four additional tax professional organizations have agreed to partner with the IRS to provide assistance to taxpayers at local disaster recovery centers established by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA):
- National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP)
- American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Taxation
- National Society of Accountants (NSA)
- National Association of Black Accountants (NABA)
The IRS earlier had signed agreements with:
- American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)
- National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA)
- American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants (AAA-CPA)
