Canadian Lawyer Magazine has published The 2006 Report Card on Canadian Law Schools, 30 Canadian Lawyer 33 (Jan. 2006), by Kristen McMahon. This is an annual ranking and grading, based this year on a survey completed by 500 recent graduates in seven categories:
- Quality of Curriculum
- Quality of Faculty
- Percentage of Caring and Competent Teachers
- Quality of Fellow Students
- Standards of testing
- Adequacy of Facilities
- Relevance of Their Education to Their Actual law Practice
There is more movement at the top of the Canadian law school rankings than there is in American law school rankings. Below are the rankings, followed by the grades (the 2005 rankings and grades (based on a survey of 330 recent graduates in the same seven categories) are in parentheses)
