Chief Judge Joel Gerber of the Tax Court announced today that the written examination for admission to practice for applicants other than attorneys will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2006, at the Tax Court Building.  The exam will consist of questions in these subjects:

• Tax Court Rules of Practice and Procedure (25%)
• Federal Taxation (40%)
• Federal Rules of Evidence (25%)
• Legal Ethics (including ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct) (10%)

The Tax Court will begin accepting applications on June 1; all applications must be received properly completed no later than October 2, 2006.  To obtain copies of prior exams, or for more information, see here.
