IRS Flexes Its Muscles in Baseball Steroid Investigation

Baseball_1 Irs_logo_261 Interesting article in today’s Arizona Republic: IRS Flexes its Muscles, by Bob Young:

Like many of you, we find this whole Jason Grimsley mess with the Diamondbacks to be very disturbing. Especially the stuff about IRS special agents trying to get Grimsley to wear a wire to eavesdrop on other players, then crashing into his house to look around when he decided to quit spilling the beans on (redacted), (redacted) and possibly (redacted).

Was anybody else under the impression that IRS agents were equipped only with briefcases, pocket protectors and inch-thick tax tables? Now we find out there is something called IRS-Criminal Investigations out there busting through doors and trying to nail bad guys, like Barry Bonds. How long before CBS launches IRS-CI: San Francisco?
