The Statistics of Income Division has begun placing on Tax Stats statistical tabulations that will be included in Publication 1304 (Statistics of Income–2004, Individual Income Tax Returns), which will be printed in September:

All of the remaining tables, as well as the text (introduction, changes in law, sample description, and explanation of terms), will be placed onto Tax Stats over the next several days. Tables from Publication 1304 present data for the number of returns filed, sources of income, exemptions, itemized deductions, and tax computations. The data in the tables are presented by size of adjusted gross income, marital status, type of tax computation, and rate at which tax was computed.
