TaxProf Blog Crosses 2,000,000-Visitor Mark

2000000_2After 29 months in operation, TaxProf Blog has crossed the 2,000,000-visitor mark. To put that number in perspective, it is the most visitors to any law-related blog edited by a single law professor, according to publicly-available traffic statistics. (It is also 1,995,922 more than the number of downloads of all of my articles!)

Doug Berman’s Sentencing Law & Policy Blog, part of our Law Professors Blogs Network, has received the most page views (3.3 million) of any law-related blog edited by a single law professor.

During our 29 months of operation, I have made over 5,900 posts to the blog, readers have posted over 2,100 comments, and other bloggers have linked to TaxProf Blog over 1,600 times.  It took us 19 months to attract our first 1,000,000 visitors, and 10 months for our next 1,000,000.

2000000_visitor_page_1_1 2000000_globe_1 The 2,000,000th visitor came to TaxProf Blog from Tacoma, Washington at 10:02 p.m EST last night.  (If you are that reader, please email me so I can send you your prize!)

We are grateful to our growing number of regular readers and hope you are finding the blog helpful in your tax research, teaching, practice, and policymaking roles.
