Bush Nominates Richard Morrison for Tax Court Judgeship

President Bush has nominated current Acting Assistant Attorney General (Tax Division) Richard T. Morrison, to a fifteen-year term as a judge on the U.S. Tax Court, replacing Carolyn Miller Parr, who left in 2002 following the expiration of her term.  (In 2002, President Bush nominated Glen L. Bower, former Director of the Illinois Department of Revenue, to replace Judge Parr.  After his Senate hearing, the nomination ran aground when news surfaced that he had taken inappropriate deductions for entertainment, gifts, and meals.)

Yesterday, I blogged the news that President Bush has nominated Nathan J. Hochman of Hochman, Salkin, Rettig, Toscher & Perez (Beverly Hills, CA) as permanent Assistant Attorney General (Tax Division), replacing Mr. Morrison.
