With the passage of the one-year AMT patch (blogged here), President Bush, Treasury Secretary Paulson, and the IRS all pledged to minimize the disruption and delays in the tax filing season caused by the late passage of the bill. The IRS plans to post on its website revised copies of the 12 tax forms impacted by the AMT legislation within 72 hours after the AMT patch is signed into law.
