I previously chronicled the turmoil at Ave Maria Law School. In the latest chapter, the ABA has dismissed a proceeding to determine the school’s compliance with accreditation standard 405(a), which provides that "[a] law school shall establish and maintain conditions adequate to attract and retain a competent faculty." The proceeding was initiated after several faculty members filed a complaint with the ABA. The ABA has concluded that the school is in compliance with Standard 405(a) and that it remains on the list of approved law schools.
