The Board of Regents of Concordia University, a private Lutheran school in Portland, Oregon, on Wednesday approved plans to open a law school in Boise, Idaho and announced that it has raised most of the needed $7-$10 million to open the school and has launched a dean search. The state’s only law school is currently on the campus of the University of Idaho in Moscow, 300 miles from Boise. In response to Concordia’s plans, the Idaho State Board of Education has approved expansion of the University of Idaho College of Law to a second location in Boise.
