Following up on this morning’s post, DePaul Names New Law School Dean, Rejecting Choice of 90% of the Faculty: incoming DePaul Dean Greg Mark has given me permission to post this response:
The support that the internal candidate received is a sign of the faculty’s respect and affection for a long-time colleague,a school leader and a remarkable scholar. I know he worked tirelessly on behalf of the school. I hope to benefit from his experience, insight and counsel. His affection for and support of his colleagues is also a sign of the faculty’s energy and ambition. That energy and ambition is what drew me to be a candidate in the first place.
