July 2010 California Bar Exam Results

The July 2010 California bar passage rates by school are out. For first-time takers, the overall pass rates were 68.3% for all takers and 75.2% for graduates of the twenty California ABA-approved law schools.

The results by gender:

  • Female: 68.3% overall, 75.6% CA ABA-approved
  • Male: 68.3% overall, 74.7% CA ABA-approved

The results by race:

  • White: 74.2% overall, 80.2% CA ABA-approved
  • Asian: 63.7% overall, 71.9% CA ABA-approved
  • Other Minority: 60.2% overall, 68.9% CA ABA-approved
  • Hispanic: 56.2% overall, 65.5% CA ABA-approved
  • Black: 44.6% overall, 53.6% CA ABA-approved
