The University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law budgeted $550,000 for scholarships to incoming 1Ls, but the school instead offered students $1.3 million. According to a spokesperson, "108 of the 140 incoming students were offered financial aid and two-thirds to three-quarters of them either received an award they shouldn't have gotten or got more than they should have received." The law school has agreed to eat the $2.4 million three-year cost, and the assistant dean for admissions has resigned.
