Penn State to Operate Separate Law Schools (Like Rutgers, Arkansas)

Penn State LogoPenn State Dean Philip McConnaughay has abandoned plans to consolidate all first year students at its University Park campus and to funnel all international students to its Carlisle. Instead, Penn State will operate the two campuses as separate law schools by 2015:

The Dickinson School of Law will remain a single academic unit of Penn
State, but each of our campuses will develop and implement separate
identities, separate admissions policies, and separate educational
programs, similar to Rutgers Law-Newark and Rutgers Law-Camden, or
Arkansas Law-Fayetteville and Arkansas Law-Little Rock.

Dan Filler (Drexel) fears that this "might mark  the beginning of a  reputational divide between the two
Penn State law schools," with Carlisle becomming a lower-ranked revenue-generator and University Park becomming its higher-ranked twin.
