I spent my final two days at the AALS Annual Meeting in New Orleans at two board meetings: the LexisNexis Law School Publishing Advisory Board and the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI) Board of Directors. I was struck by the many initiatives being undertaken by these for-profit and non-profit groups to address the serious cost issue facing legal education, which I previously discussed in The Law School Crisis: What Would Jimmy McMillan Do? (more here). I plan to blog these initiatives as they are rolled out in the coming months.
