Dorothy Brown was appointed on March 1 to a three-year term as Associate
Vice Provost for Academic Affairs at Emory University:

In addition to
her regular teaching duties, she will report to the Provost and
Executive Vice President and
work on issues surrounding faculty career trajectories, including
promotion and tenure practices within and across academic units as well
as at the university level.  She will also provide senior staffing to
the Academic Affairs Committee of the Emory University
Board of Trustees.  In addition she will collaborate with the
University Faculty Council and the University Senate.
