We are now 67% of the way through Fall 2023 law school admissions season. The number of law school applicants reported by LSAC is down -3.5% compared to last year at this time:

119 of the 198 law schools are experiencing a decrease in applications. Applications are down -10% or more at 10 law schools 43 law schools:

Applicants are down the most in the Northwest (-10.5%), Mountain West (-9.8%), and New England (-9.4%); and are up in Other (+19.4%):

Applicants' LSAT scores are down -1.4% in the 170-180 band, -5.7% in the 160-169 band, and -6.3% in the 150-159 band; and up +0.8% in the 120-149 band:

Puerto Rican applicants are down -10.4%; Caucasian|White applicants are down -4.8%; Native Hawaiian|Other Pacific Islander applicants are down -4.2%; American Indian|Alaska Native applicants are down -3.2%; Hispanic|Latino applicants are down -2.7%; Asian applicants are down -2.3%; Black|African American applicants are down -2.0%; and Not Indicated are up +4.9%:

Man applicants are down -5.6%; Woman applicants are down -2.2%; Not Indicated applicants are down -2.0%; and Gender Diverse applicants are up +6.0%:

First Generation College Student applicants are down -2.2%:
