The 122-year old Golden Gate University School of Law will keep its doors open a little longer despite continued financial woes. Trustees are hoping to find a plan to pay down tens of millions of dollars in debt.
The board of trustees had the option to close the law school outright or relinquish its ABA accreditation status. It chose not to take action, at least for now. The law school plays a unique role — a place for late career professionals to enter the legal world. Mohammed Jamal is a current student and president of the student bar association.
