ABA Tax Section Recognizes Outstanding Young Tax Lawyers, Names Six 2020-2021 John S. Nolan Fellows:
The American Bar Association Section of Taxation announces its recipients of the 2023-2024 John S. Nolan Fellowships.
Nolan Fellows are young tax lawyers who are actively involved in the Section and have demonstrated leadership qualities and a commitment to the Section’s mission.

- Brian Gardner (Asbury Law Firm, Atlanta, GA)
- Samuel Lapin (Miller & Chevalier, Washington, D.C.)
- Joshua Savey (Morgan Lewis & Bockius, Washington, D.C.)
- Caitlin R. Tharp (Steptoe & Johnson, Washington, D.C.)
“We are pleased to announce these emerging leaders of the Tax Section as our Nolan Fellows for 2023-2023,” said C. Wells Hall, III, Chair of the Section of Taxation. “Nolan Fellows are practitioners who have demonstrated superior leadership potential, and we hope they will remain active in the Tax Section for many years to come.”
The one-year fellowship includes waiver of meeting registration fees and assistance with travel to Section meetings.
