A sacked law professor has sued Ohio Northern University (ONU), saying he lost his tenured job after a 'sham hearing' because he criticized the school's diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts.
Scott Gerber this week sued ONU, its trustees and several professors, seeking a jury trial and $25,000 in damages over what he calls defamatory allegations that left him jobless and hurt his reputation.
The school says Gerber did not show enough 'collegiality' on campus and that he threatened the safety of staff and students, the lawsuit says. ONU did not answer our request for comment.
