We are now 50% of the way through Fall 2025 law school admissions season. The number of law school applicants reported by LSAC is up 24.3% compared to last year at this time:

187 of the 196 law schools are experiencing an increase in applications. Applications are up +40% or more at 49 law schools:

Applicants are up in every region, and are up the most in Northwest (+37.1%), Northeast (+29.8%), and New England (+28.5%):

Applicants’ LSAT scores are up +30.2% in the 170-180 band, +25.0% in the 160-169 band, +18.2% in the 150-159 band, and +19.5% in the 120-149 band:

Black|African American applicants are up +35.8%; Native Hawaiian|Other Pacific Islander applicants are up +33.3%; American Indian|Alaska Native applicants are up +32.4%;  Hispanic|Latino applicants are up +28.0%; Not Indicated are up +25.8%; Asian applicants are up +25.7%; Caucasian|White applicants are up +22.2%; Puerto Rican applicants are up +18.5%; and Canadian Aboriginal|Indigenous are up +7.9%:

Not Indicated applicants are up +33.5%; Woman applicants are up +24.6%; Man applicants are up +24.1%; and Gender Diverse applicants are up +6.8%:

First Generation College Student applicants are up +24.1:
