Chronicle of Higher Education, Baylor U. Returns Grant for LGBTQ+ Research:
The Baptist university is returning a foundation grant intended to fund an examination of LGBTQIA+ inclusion in congregational settings. President Linda A. Livingstone wrote that the grant would have funded work that “extended into advocacy for perspectives on human sexuality that are inconsistent with Baylor’s institutional policies.” Baylor subscribes to an “understanding of human sexuality as a gift from God, expressed through purity in singleness and fidelity in marriage between a man and a woman,” Livingstone wrote.
