Villanova Law, Director of the Tax Clinic:
Villanova University School of Law seeks an outstanding lawyer-educator to direct and teach its nationally regarded Tax Clinic. The Tax Clinic represents low-income clients in disputes with the IRS and with the PA Department of Revenue. The Clinic also engages in community education and systemic advocacy to improve the fairness and integrity of the tax system. The Director will be a full-time continuing non-tenure track (governed by ABA Standard 405(c)). Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian order. Applicants must hold a J.D. degree and should have a Pennsylvania bar membership (or an ability to waive into the Pennsylvania bar). Applicants should also have an understanding of, and commitment to, clinical teaching methodology, including an ability to work both collaboratively and independently and a demonstrated interest in and aptitude for student supervision and teaching. Outstanding scholarly potential is required for candidates seeking a tenure-track position. A demonstrated record of outstanding scholarship is required for candidates seeking a tenured position.
