Notre Dame: Seeking applicants for the position of Visiting Associate Professor of Law or Visiting Professor of Law:

The position will commence in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027.

Qualifications
Notre Dame Law School seeks applicants for one or more visiting faculty for the 2026-2027 academic year who already have a tenured or tenure-track rank at another institution. The Law School’s interest is not limited to any particular subject, but there is particular interest in those who will teach courses in the areas of Trusts and Estates, Professional Responsibility, Intellectual Property, and Environmental Law, along with courses in the first-year curriculum. Applicants for these positions should possess excellence in academic and professional background.

Applicants should provide a CV, a list of at least three references, an academic writing sample, and teaching evaluations.

Applicants should indicate in their cover letter (1) their basis for interest in a visiting position, and (2) their interest in a Catholic Institution like Notre Dame Law School. In their cover letter, applicants should also indicate (3) the semester or semesters they would be available to teach. Finally, they should indicate (4) what two courses they would prefer to teach if they desire to visit for one semester, or what three courses they would prefer to teach if they desire to visit for two semesters; along with any other teaching interests.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
