I previously noted some of the many rankings that exist for law schools (Law School Rankings Season, Feb. 25, 2026). Another one that recently was shared with me are rankings based on cross-admit decisions. Law School Data (LSD.com) has rankings that are described as “built from 136,000+ real cross-admit decisions across 135 schools.” The data provides revealed-preference rankings based on where applicants choose to enroll when admitted to multiple schools. To its credit, the website has several caveats about the limits on relying on any one ranking and needing to “dig deeper.” You can find the full list here. Schools listed within the top 50 using 2025 data are on the next page (many ties, so the top 50 ends at 44).
