A few weeks ago, TaxProf Blog announced a Tax Workshop Clearinghouse, a resource designed to make it easier for workshop and conference organizers to identify scholars with current works in progress, while also giving tax scholars a simple way to indicate that they have projects that would benefit from presentation and feedback.
The initial response has been encouraging. A number of scholars have already submitted projects for inclusion (which, for those of you putting together workshops in the fall, can be accessed here), suggesting that the clearinghouse can serve as a useful mechanism for connecting presenters and organizers across the tax academic community.
This follow-up post serves as both a reminder and a renewed invitation. For scholars with current tax projects, you can still submit at this link. The more complete the pool of works in progress, the more useful the clearinghouse will be to those planning workshops, colloquia, and other academic events. For faculty members and others organizing conferences or workshop series, the clearinghouse is also worth keeping in mind as part of the planning process.
Our hope remains to refine this on our end so as to best serve the large tax scholar community, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to us (taxprofblogeditors [at] pepperdine.edu) if you have any questions or suggestions for improvement.
