This national honor highlights work that strengthens the integrity, transparency, and effectiveness of state and local tax systems. . . .
State and local taxation funds essential public services, shapes economic opportunity, and reinforces government accountability. Yet many individuals and institutions responsible for advancing state and local tax policy and administration do so without broad public recognition. . . .
This award recognizes a specific contribution or initiative that has produced measurable impact within the state and local tax landscape. It is not intended as a lifetime achievement award. . . .
