We know that online legal education is on the ascendance. We know that inclusivity in education is important. An article by Colin P. Marks and & Zoe Niesel (Online Inclusivity: Mission and Best Practice, 57 St. Mary’s L.J. 97-124 (2025)) gets us thinking about inclusivity in online education. They write:
“as online education grows in quantity and popularity, law schools should be mindful about creating an inclusive
learning environment for their online students. Inclusivity in online education is an important goal for many reasons: it fulfills institutional missions, aligns with established best practices in online learning, and creates a more enjoyable classroom for students and faculty.
This Essay examines how St. Mary’s University, the first American Bar Association (ABA) accredited fully online J.D. program, has successfully implemented inclusivity practices that align with both our Marianist mission and best practices in online education.”
