Martin Krygier, Gordon Samuels Professor of Law and Social Theory at the University of New South Wales.has penned an erudite analysis of conventional approaches to the Rule of Law. Available reviews of Tempering Power suggest Krygier has presented a compelling case that the Rule of Law can only be understood in context and that we need a stronger account to allow the Rule of Law to work for us to temper the power of would be autocrats. I can think of nothing more timely.
