FIU President Jeanette Nuñez FIU declared the search unsuccessful and used her authority to appoint Epstein outside the committee’s recommendations.
In July, a federal judge sanctioned Epstein for his involvement in a Trump lawsuit against the IRS.
Faculty critics allege political interference, pointing to Epstein’s Trump administration service, America First Legal role and Federalist Society ties.”
