Registration for the 2027 AALS Annual Meeting in New York is open. Those that register before November 18 can take advantage of early bird rates. There’s also still time left to submit an abstract to participate in discussion groups at the meeting. You can find more details here.

From AALS: “There’s still time left to submit an abstract to participate in discussion groups at the 2027 AALS Annual Meeting. Review their full descriptions and submit an abstract by October 2 for a chance to participate. All discussion groups will be held at the in-person AALS Annual Meeting from January 5-8, 2027 in New York. The discussion groups include:

• The Upper-Level Writing Requirement Is Broken: Reimagining Rigorous Writing Experiences for Law Students in a Generative AI World
• Menstruation and Menopause: Law, Legal Education, and Institutional Responsibility
• What Must Law Remain? Religious Traditions, Personhood, and Legal Judgment in the Age of AI
• It’s Not (Just) You, It’s (Also) Us
• Attorney Licensure Reform Reaches a Crossroads: Lessons from Jurisdictions with Active Reforms and the Road Ahead for Your Jurisdiction

Discussion Group sessions do not feature formal presentations; rather, the objective is to facilitate a lively and engaging scholarly discussion. Participants consist of a mix of the invitees identified in the original proposal along with additional individuals selected from this call for participation.”
