“A Pink Private Jet, Luxury Homes, and a Growing Legal Battle: The Fall of an Immigration ‘Lawyer of Miracles’”

I thought that this story about immigration lawyer discipline might be of more general interest. Put it in the “Believe it or Not” category. Or a cautionary tale of professional irresponsibility  Here is the story:

“A Pink Private Jet, Luxury Homes, and a Growing Legal Battle: The Fall of an Immigration ‘Lawyer of Miracles’”

“A hot pink private jet is difficult to overlook, especially when it reportedly carries the word `abogada,’ Spanish for female lawyer, across its side. . . .

[Alexandra] Lozano built a nationwide practice by marketing herself as the `Abogada de los Milagros,’ or `Lawyer of Miracles.’ . . .

Former clients now accuse Lozano and her firm of submitting immigration documents containing false information, using signatures without proper authorization, and charging thousands of dollars for applications clients allegedly did not qualify to file. An amended federal lawsuit also links Lozano to luxury homes, the pink jet, and a business that plaintiffs claim generated or secured promises for more than $400 million in payments.

Lozano has denied wrongdoing through her attorney, and the allegations in the civil lawsuits have not been proven in court. However, she permanently resigned from practicing law in Washington, her firm closed shortly afterward, and federal immigration officials issued a public warning to former clients with pending cases.”

The Washington State Bar Association has a “Help for Clients of Alexandra Lozano,” which notes that “[o]n May 26, 2026, immigration lawyer Alexandra Lozano, owner of Alexandra Lozano Immigration Law (ALIL) resigned in lieu of discipline, making Lozano permanently ineligible to practice law.”
