Neil Buchanan (Rutgers-Newark) has issued his annual call on the TaxProf Email Discussion Group for Tax Profs to join with him in organizing one or more tax panels for next year’s Law & Society annual meeting in Baltimore on July 6-9, 2006 (reprinted here with permission):
Because of the great success of our three tax sessions at last summer’s meetings of the Law & Society Association [blogged here and here], I am excited again to serve as point man for organizing tax sessions at next year’s Law & Society meetings. The official Call for Participation has a deadline of January 6, 2006.
Note that the conference organizers are soliciting proposals not just for traditional panels in which individual authors present their work but also for roundtable sessions and book sessions. Feel free to be creative!
If you’re interested, please contact me privately as soon as you can. I should stress that you need not have a completed paper ready to send to me now. At this point, all I need is an indication of interest and a quick (one sentence) description of the project that you’d like to present. Drafts won’t be due until shortly before the conference next summer.
Last year’s sessions turned out to be great fun and quite productive. I look forward to even more participation this year.
