CALI Seeks New Authors To Take Over And Update Three Tax Casebooks

CALI Tax Books

The Center for Computer Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI) is looking for new authors to take over and update the three tax casebooks in its eLangdell Bookstore. The books are free to download and use by anyone under a Creative Commons License. (Printed versions are available at cost.) Although the books are free, CALI negotiates a flat-rate fee with its authors.

  • Deborah A Geier (Cleveland State), U.S. Federal Income Taxation of Individuals (Dec. 2022) (downloaded 4,594 times since 2015, 194 times in 2024)
  • William P. Kratzke (Memphis), Basic Income Tax (July 2023) (downloaded 3,128 times since 2014, 652 times in 2024)
  • William P. Kratzke (Memphis), Corporate Tax (Dec. 2023) (downloaded 1,305 times since 2018, 284 times in 2024)

For all three of these titles, the original author is no longer updating the book, and has agreed to allow a new author to take over the job of revising and updating.
