Perhaps Mr. Kauffman should take a look at Rule 7.1(c)of the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct (directly applicable to California lawyers who practice in the U.S. Tax Court–see T.C. Rule 201). It prohibits comparison of a lawyer’s services with those of other lawyers, “unless the comparison can be factually substantiated.” See also, Mezrano v. Alabama State Bar Ass’n, 434 So.2d 732 (Ala. 1983).
