The IRS announced (IR-2004-120) this week that taxpayers in 4 states will need to send their 2005 tax returns and payments to different service centers:
• Connecticut returns without payments to Kansas City, MO
• Connecticut returns with payments to St. Louis, MO
• Virginia returns without payments to Fresno, CA
• Arizona and Utah returns, and Virginia returns with payments, to San Francisco
For filing locations for taxpayers in all 50 states, see here. Taxpayers who e-file, of course, are not affected by these changes.
