Welcome to the Blogosphere: The Anonymous Law Professor

New_blogs A hearty welcome to the newest member of the Law Prof blogosphere: An Anonymous Law Professor is a blog by "a fictional tenured law professor at a first tier law school." Judging by the first few posts ("Like most professors here, I keep a bottle of my favorite drink in the drawer. My current favorite is a very nice blood orange vodka from Charbay. Without an in-office freezer, a couple of ice cubes from the faculty lounge usually does the trick."), the site appears heavy on the fiction.  The Volokh Conspiracy notes that this is the second attempt at blogging by an anonymous law prof — the first was by an untenured law prof (Proculian Meditiations).

You are naive to think that senior professors don’t drink before class.

Blogging like this silliness is exactly what the legal education profession needs. Having seen the impact of inebriation and alcoholism on law teaching and having heard about it from students, it’s really not a good topic for getting a laugh. And to “Taint,” I hope you are being sarcastic or perhaps left out the phrase “a few.”
