Treasury Seeks to Hire Deputy International Tax Counsel

Major Duties: As Deputy International Tax Counsel, the incumbent is the principal deputy to, and works closely with the International Tax Counsel in planning, developing, analyzing, managing, and promoting the Department?s tax program in general, and the legislative, regulatory, and treaty affairs aspects of the international tax policy program in particular, including the taxation of foreign income and investment, the taxation of U.S. taxpayers with foreign source income, fiscal evasion through transnational transactions, and reconciliation of U.S. and foreign tax systems. The incumbent?s assignments relate to all aspects of international taxation, including legislation, negotiation of tax treaties, and the development and promulgation of administrative guidance, and include projects relating to the improvement and simplification of the Internal Revenue Code and associated administrative guidance.   

Salary:  $109,808 – $152,000.
