Watered Down Call for Rankings Reform

The presidents of nineteen prestigious liberal arts colleges, including nine of Top 10 Best Liberal Arts Colleges in the U.S. News & World Report Rankings, have signed this this letter pledging not to use rankings in promotional material. Today’s Inside Higher Ed notes (Watered Down Call for Rankings Reform) that the letter does not go as far as the May letter signed by other college presidents that pledged to refuse to participate in the U.S. News & World Report reputation survey.  The signatories are:
