Does this mean we can ignore the preparer regulations until we sign a ‘memorandum of understanding’ with IRS?

After 44,944 bogus tax returns claiming $295 million in refunds, the government finally decided to do something. It sure wouldn’t take a private company that long to stop the bleeding.
Government has no problem with some privacy invasions, like groping people’s privates in airport lines, but was reluctant to cross the politically correct line of invading the privacy of felons committing crimes from prison.
When you see the way that this country is being managed, maybe the people of Egypt are on to something about wanting the right kind of change.
Sorry for venting.
