Prospective law school students across the country are waiting to hear back from the schools to which they applied. It’s a nerve-wracking time—frequently made worse by social media, where anxiety tends to be stoked rather than quelled.
On Tuesday, Reddit user Godisjust kicked off a discussion in the r/LSAT subreddit about the often unhealthy online discourse around law school admissions.
“99% of users in this sub: ‘OMG IM NERVOUS MY 180 LSAT AND 4.0 GPA WONT GET ME INTO MY T-14,’” they wrote, adding, “Some of us are just trying to get in anywhere lol.”
“I’ve seen people on there ask if Harvard is ‘good enough’. Not making this up,” user reditory wrote, referring to the r/lawschooladmissions subreddit.
