Northwestern Pritzker School of Law invites applications for a tax law lecturer, senior lecturer, or professor of practice (non-tenure-eligible):
The duties of the position include teaching a full load of tax courses during each academic year and advising students. Northwestern seeks applicants with a record of or potential for excellence in teaching and the ability to successfully mentor students on career goals and advancement.
Candidates must hold a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited school and have a minimum of five years of experience as a tax professional in law or accounting firms, government experience involving either the formulation of tax policy or the administration and enforcement of the tax law, or academic experience. Preferred qualifications include an LL.M. in Tax and teaching experience at the J.D. or LL.M. level. Northwestern’s Tax Program awards the LL.M. in Taxation degree to approximately 45 students annually. The Tax Program is annually ranked among the top Tax LL.M. programs in the United States. Courses in the Tax Program are taught by tenure-track faculty, full-time non-tenure-eligible faculty, and adjunct faculty.
