The Association for Mid-Career Tax Law Professors (“AMT”) has issued a Call for Proposals:

Professional growth for mid-career facultyThe 2024 Association of Mid-Career Tax Scholars/Experienced in Tax Scholars Conference will be held on Thursday, May 30 and Friday, May 31 at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law in Chicago, IL. This is a recurring conference intended to bring together relatively recently and not-so-recently tenured professors of tax law from around the country to discuss ideas and works-in-progress in an informal setting.

We’ll have an informal dinner together on Wednesday evening and begin discussing papers early on Thursday, adjourning shortly after noon on Friday. Northwestern has generously agreed to provide space and funding for meals on Thursday and Friday during the conference.

Proposals should provide a brief description (not to exceed one double-spaced page) of a working paper or “incubator” idea that the participant would present at the conference. Participants are expected to read all of the presented papers, and each will serve as lead discussant for one paper.

Proposals may be submitted to: Clint Wallace under the subject header “AMT/EITC Proposal”.  Proposals should be received no later than 8pm EST on Sunday, March 31, 2024. The organizing committee, Brian Galle, Ari Glogower, Leigh Osofsky, Miranda Perry Fleischer and Clint Wallace will aim to extend conference invitations by approximately Monday, April 8.
