We are now 80% of the way through Fall 2025 law school admissions season. The number of law school applicants reported by LSAC is up 20.5% compared to last year at this time:

190 of the 196 law schools are experiencing an increase in applications. Applications are up +40% or more at 28 law schools:

Applicants are up in every region, and are up the most in Northwest (+29.6%), New England (+26.3%), and Northeast (+24.5%):

Applicants' LSAT scores are up +35.4% in the 170-180 band, +24.0% in the 160-169 band, +13.4% in the 150-159 band, and +13.6% in the 120-149 band:

Black|African American applicants are up +29.9%; Canadian Aboriginal|Indigenous are up +26.8%; American Indian|Alaska Native applicants are up +25.0%; Not Indicated are up +24.5%; Native Hawaiian|Other Pacific Islander applicants are up +22.4%; Hispanic|Latino applicants are up +22.1%; Asian applicants are up +21.2%; Puerto Rican applicants are up +19.6%; and Caucasian|Whie applicants are up +18.8%:

Not Indicated applicants are up +31.7%; Man applicants are up +21.9%; Woman applicants are up +19.7%; and Gender Diverse applicants are down -1.5%:

First Generation College Student applicants are up +20.1:
