
Good news for TaxProf blog emperor Paul Caron:
Following a five-year review, dean Paul L. Caron has been reappointed the Duane and Kelly Roberts Dean of Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. The announcement was made on August 20 by Pepperdine University provost Jay Brewster.

I am pleased to announce that professor Paul Caron has been offered and has accepted a renewal appointment as the Duane and Kelly Roberts Dean of the Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law. The University has affirmed its confidence in Dean Caron and his ability to lead the law school in fulfilling its academic mission and advancing its strategic priorities.
This year, we completed a comprehensive five-year review of Dean Caron’s leadership and the accomplishments of the Caruso School of Law during that period. I want to thank the faculty and staff who submitted survey feedback. Your input was extremely helpful to the review process.
Throughout his tenure, Dean Caron has provided dedicated leadership to advance the school’s academic and institutional goals. The Caruso School of Law continues to attract exceptionally talented students into a rigorous legal education, enjoys rising performance in rankings and metrics of student outcomes, and has gathered an exceptional group of faculty who offer both excellence in the classroom and an influential scholarly voice. Our law school is a key contributor to metrics of institutional progress aligned with Pepperdine University’s Ascend 2030 strategic plan.
I celebrate Dean Caron’s compelling vision for the Caruso School of Law, aspiring to become the preeminent global Christian law school and partnering exceptionally high standards of academic excellence with Christian values. With this five-year renewal, I look forward to the school’s continued progress and accomplishments under his leadership.
