I am an American law scholar and Professor of Law at University of Kentucky’s J. David Rosenberg College of Law who recognizes that my country is currently committing a genocide of Palestinians through the colony that we maintain in Palestine called the “State of Israel”. I oppose the genocide and the existence of that colony. I believe that the international community has a moral and legal duty to go to war to liberate Palestine and end Israel.”
Reuters, Judge to Review Law Professor’s Suspension in Free Speech Case Over Israel Remarks:
A federal judge on Tuesday denied a University of Kentucky law professor’s bid for a temporary order blocking the university from investigating his public criticisms of Israel.
But US District Judge Benjamin Beaton ordered a hearing later this month to hear the professor’s request for an injunction against the university, ruling that the case involves enough unsettled areas of the law and noting that “investigations cannot last forever.”
Law professor Ramsi Woodcock, who was suspended last year, said on Wednesday that the Lexington-based university has spent more than 15 months investigating his speech.
“I’m grateful that the court has set a hearing and asked the right questions, including whether this investigation is out of the ordinary. It is,” he said. …
Woodcock sued the university in November of 2025, claiming it violated his free speech and due process rights in July 2025 when it removed him from teaching, banned him from campus, and launched an investigation into his criticisms of Israel at academic conferences and in online forums.
The lawsuit alleged that the probe was baseless and was spurred by political pressure from state lawmakers to crack down on antisemitism on college campuses.
